The folds are a bit sloppy, but I did manage to fold the Backnang track plan from 1965 in the proper civil-engineering way for storage in a three ring binder.
The proper way to fold plans to German standards is described in DIN 824. The Internet Archive has a link to a nice overview how to do fold the plan correctly.
