Swiss Narrow Gauge Operations at Hiller Aviation Museum

Just as in previous years there are several modular model train layouts on display at Hiller Aviation Museum the week before Easter. David invited me to help operate the swiss narrow gauge layout I wrote a post about a couple years ago. An opportunity I didn't want to miss!

Shortly after I showed up and David had shown me around the layout, I sat down at my assigned position at Chamby station.

This is a truly gorgeous module representing a small station near Montreux in the swiss alps.

The combination of trains and planes is cool.

The crew rotated positions every now and then, so I got to run the staging yard for a while, as well as man Surava station.

Update 2017/04/10:
David took this action shot of me at the controls of the staging yard. Yes, I'm having fun.
