It's 7:30 in the morning on a Sunday. I booked a SBB Day Pass for today ("Spartageskarte") which allows for free rides on almost all railways and bus lines in Switzerland for a day. Contrary to the last time I did this, the forecast is warm and sunny, and Balazs is joining me.
We're leaving Zurich with IC 8 for Bern at 8:02. Almost an hour later, we get to enjoy the main station in Bern, which seems to be always busy. The transfer time to IR 15, direction Geneva, is only 5 minutes, but that's perfectly sufficient.
Arrival in Fribourg at 9:25am. It's a bit more relaxed here ...
... and we easily make the connection to Bus Line 3, towards Mont Carmel.
From the Jura Chassotte stop it's a short walk to our first destination.
